It's not surprising that a band with at least three competent lead vocalists would produce an album often using several elaborate vocal attacks as their signature. This came out at the onset of the British new wave, but instead of relying on layers of guitars they seemed more inclined to mix voices with keyboards on top of a fast beat. Occasionally the guitar is more dominating on songs like the very good "Breathless", however the vocals are still in the forefront.

"Airport" and "Forget About You" are my favorite songs on the LP. However "Breathless", "Sensation" and the ballad "Today" are awesome too. The remaining songs are rather average, but they are similar enough to keep the album consistent. I bought this record when I was 15 years old and I still love it. This is the 2006 re-release of this gem. Songs with[*] sign are bonus tracks that were not on the original record.

The Motors were: Nick Garvey (guitar, bass, vocal), Andy McMaster (keyboards, bass, vocal), Bram Tchaikovsky [aka Peter Bramall] (guitar, vocal, 1977-78), Ricky Slaughter [aka Richard Wernham] (drums, 1977-78), Martin Ace (bass, 1979-80), Terry Williams (drums, 1979-80)

Looking foward to this!
Outstanding! This band reminds me somewhat of the pubrock bands of the late 70s (Ducks Deluxe, Rockpile, and a little bit of That Petrol Emotion, even some Television) It has a subtle punk edge but without compromising their signature sound. Tnx 80z!
I've been missing this.

Thx. a lot.
